Inclement Weather Procedures

In case of inclement weather for the status of the campus classes call the Mont Alto Inclement Weather Hot-Line at 717-749-6090.  A recording will be established by 6:00 am listing the status of campus classes. The following radio and television stations will also be notified by 6:00 am and will announce the status of campus classes.

Only in cases of severe weather conditions will the campus be closed. If the campus is closed, all classes are cancelled and offices are closed. Essential employees will report to maintain necessary operations such as food service, snow removal, building heat.

Classes cancelled: when inclement weather causes poor traveling conditions, classes may be cancelled. Offices will open at normal times if driving conditions permit.

Classes on Compressed Schedule: If the forecast predicts improving conditions, classes may be put on a compressed schedule (listed below). This schedule will allow time for roads to be plowed and give students more time to reach campus. Offices will open at normal times if driving conditions permit.
