New Student Orientation
New Student Orientation is offered at the beginning of each semester to acquaint new students with curricular- and co-curricular opportunities, and to help them set directions and strategies for achieving their educational goals. Mandatory Orientation for Fall 2012 will be held on Saturday, August 25th and Sunday, August 26th (students living on campus will move in on Friday, August 24th). Activities offered on August 25th are critical for a student’s success. New students will have an opportunity to meet and interact with returning students as well as faculty and staff. Welcome Week activities will be held Sunday, August 26th through Monday, Sept. 3rd. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in these activities as well!
This program is the first stage of academic advising, providing students with an understanding of their scholastic preparation, academic abilities, and educational and professional interests, and introducing them to the academic structure and degree programs of the University.
New Student Orientation
The goal of orientation is to introduce new students to what it is like to be a student at Penn State Mont Alto.
