Fourth Annual Penn State Mont Alto Academic Festival to be held April 15
Mont Alto, PA – The Fourth Annual Penn State Mont Alto Academic Festival, sponsored by F & M Trust Company, will be held on Wednesday, April 15 in the Multipurpose Activities Center. This exciting event will display some of the academic highlights which were researched, developed, and created throughout the 2008-09 academic year by Penn State Mont Alto students.
“Over the past few years, the Academic Festival has grown into a major campus-wide event,” said Tom Reinsfelder, Reference Librarian and Chair of the Academic Festival planning committee at the Mont Alto campus. “This is a great opportunity for students to present the results of their work on undergraduate projects to fellow students and faculty, as well as the local community.”
Individual and group projects to be featured cover a wide range of topics including, English, Engineering, Forestry, Human Development and Family Studies, Nursing, Psychology, Technology, and much more.
In addition to the academic presentations, a student art show will be held in the Museum of Temporary Art, located on the first floor of the General Studies Building. The exhibit will be displayed throughout the day.
A detailed scheduled for April 15 includes:
Noon – 4:30 p.m. Poster Presentations displayed in the MAC Multipurpose Room
1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Oral Presentations and Performances in the MAC Building, Room
4:30 p.m. Awards announced
