At Penn State Mont Alto, we value men and women who bravely volunteer to serve in today's military and defend the freedoms we enjoy. We welcome you to explore the many high-quality educational opportunities we provide.
Many veterans of the armed services are eligible to receive financial assistance through the Veterans Administration. In addition, new G.I. Bill implementation affords higher education opportunities for more veterans than ever before.
Reintegration to Graduation
We are Penn State, and because of that, we can provide students with access to leading faculty, a variety of majors and degree options, sports, concerts, cultural events, one of the largest alumni associations in the nation, and most important, a Penn State degree.
We are also Mont Alto, an intimate, nurturing college campus on 103 tree-lined, quaint, and comfortable acres, where students interact closely with their professors. To help you reintegrate and graduate, we also offer:
- a student success center with free tutors and resources
- a career center to help you make informed career decisions regarding your academic major plans and/or job search
- the opportunity to join and lead student clubs and organizations
- the chance to extend your athletic career by participating in varsity sports
- access to free mental health and personal counseling services
- and much more

The Yellow Ribbon Program -- Penn State Mont Alto is pleased to participate in the Veterans Administration's new Yellow Ribbon G.I. Education Enhancement Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows our campus to partner with the V.A. to extend a higher benefit to you.
Specifically, this program allows institutions of higher learning to enter into an agreement with the V.A. to fund tuition expenses that exceed the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate. Participating institutions can contribute up to 50 percent of those expenses and the V.A. will match the amount.
You may be eligible to attend Penn State Mont Alto at little or no cost to you. For additional information, refer to the G.I. Bill Web site: www.gibill.va.gov
