Nursing is a challenging and rewarding profession.
Penn State Mont Alto offers three nursing degree options, Bachelor of Science (B.S.), Registered Nurse (RN) to B.S., and Associate of Science (A.S.) that is being transitioned to a four-year B.S. degree.
The B.S. and RN-to-B.S. programs prepare nurses to provide nursing care in varied settings including hospitals, private practice, long-term care, clinics, and other health care and community agencies. Students gain experience in diverse settings, such as Hershey Medical Center, rural hospitals, community health agencies, and other health care settings. After earning a B.S., students are eligible to take the national examination for licensure as a registered nurse (NCLEX-RN).
