Below is information on NSO--everything from testing and orientation/advising day information to guidance on being ready for the semester. Follow these three easy steps to find: (1) Placement Testing and Orientation/Advising Day preparation and invitation procedures; (2) Orientation/Advising Day details; and, (3) upcoming semester resources.
As a Penn State student, you are expected to take responsibility for your educational decisions, including choice of major, choice of courses, and gaining knowledge of Penn State policies and procedures. The Division of Undergraduate Studies is committed to assisting you in learning more about academic requirements and resources you will need to be successful at Penn State. Your first step is to attend an Orientation/academic advising program (for incoming first-year students) or an academic advising appointment (for transfer, reenrolling, change of campus students), where you will meet faculty and staff who can assist you in making a successful transition.
If you are a new First-Year student, you will be invited to attend a New Student Orientation day or appointment.
If you are a Transfer Student, Reenrolling, or Change of Campus student, you will be referred to an appointment with an Academic Adviser.
On behalf of the Division of Undergraduate Studies, welcome to Penn State Mont Alto!
