Senior Instructor of English and Women’s Studies
Royer teaches Writing and Women’s Studies courses in Literature, Women of Color, Women and Religion, Feminist Thought, Paths of Aging, Women and the American Experience, Women's Impact on American Life, and Women's Impact on American Religion at Penn State Mont Alto. She was a nominee in 1991 and in 1998 for the Penn State Mont Alto “Martha A. Fisher Award for Excellence in Teaching" and received the 2004 Penn State Commission for Adult Learners Excellence in Service to Adult Learners. She served on the Executive Board of the Penn State Commission for Women and presently serves on the Southcentral Pennsylvania Area Health Education Council. Royer has been a presenter at numerous conferences and workshops and is a founder of the Cumberland Valley Women's Conference. Her recent research is in fashion's impact upon women's health.
