Instructor of Biology
Hipkiss teaches Elementary Microbology lecture and lab, Human Body: Form and Function; Basis of Human Disease, and Introductory Biology I and II at Penn State Mont Alto. His teaching interests include general microbiology, immunology, evolutionary biology, the history of science, and basic laboratory techniques. He is currently looking at developing new, novel teaching laboratory exercises that better explain the principles of biology. In his previous career, he researched tumor immunology, specifically trying to trigger an anti-tumor immune response to prostate cancer.
