Dr. Goertz currently teaches Nursing Research (NURS 200w) classes for the RNBS Nursing program and Psychiatric Nursing and Nursing Leadership (NURS 214w) in the Associate Degree Nursing program at Penn State Mont Alto. Her expertise is in psychiatric nursing and teaching nursing care for clients with psychiatric and medical surgical problems (specifically for those with neurological, endocrine, renal, and musculoskeletal disorders). She has focused her research in studying religious coping in people with serious mental illness where she is using multivariate approaches to examine nationally representative epidemiological data.
